The Ursulines are blessed with a 20 bedded - "Health Centre" at the heart of Dumka town, a generous donation by the Bishop of dumka, Rt. Rev. Julius Marandi whose long cherished dream it was to have a Health Centre for the people of dumka. This "Health Centre" was inaugurated on June 8th 2002, by the most honourable Chief guest, Stephen Marandi, leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand State. The Health Centre is staffed by sister Dr. grace Kujur, Medical Officer (M.D. in Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Sr. Dayawati Minj, Administrator (r.N.R.M., B.Sc. Nursing Tr.), sister Bimla Nag (A.N.M. Tr. Lab and X-ray Technician) and two lay nurses. This budding Health Centre is looked upon as a great blessing for the people of Dumka, with a bright future to develop and grow to its full stature in the years to come, continuing the healing ministry of Jesus.
