On December 15, 1939, Mother Henrietta and the Sisters were enthusiastically received by Fr. Verwaest S.J., Superior of Biru and a big crowd from Samtoli and surround villages. All expressed their joy at the arrival of the Ursulines. Until then, Samtoli had only a small village school for girls, though the Boys' School had already pre-higher classes. So the Sisters were most welcome in Samtoli. The new Convent and the School would be dedicated to Mary Immaculate. A beautiful statue of Mary Immaculate, a Jubilee present to Mother Henrietta from an aunt religious arrived in time and was installed at the same time, when Mother Norberte was installed as first Superior of Samtoli. This lovely statue is now in the Chapel of the Novitiate at Kanke Road, Ranchi.
