Ursuine Convent Chakradharpur

The Carmelite Sisters who had been in Chakradharpur, running "A Carmel English Medium School" gave up their apostolate to the Ursulines.  So a new foundation was laid - new and yet old!  Sister Celesta Nowrangi, the pioneer Superior was also asked to see to the possibility of Grihini School and a Hospital at Chakradharpur.  This was the first Ursuline Community in Jamshedpur Diocese.

June 4, 1970, was the centenary celebration of the Parish in Lohardaga.  The Ursuline Sisters participated in the celebration.  On this auspicious day, Sister Odile returned from Belgium.
